Turkish Desserts – Easy Baklava Recipe

Recipe ingredients:

  • 500 grams thin layers of dough (you can buy it in Turkish store, you’ll get 10-16 layers of dough)
  • 800 grams sour cherries
  • Cooking oil

Filling ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 150 grams biscuit crumbs
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil

Syrup ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

Easy Baklava Recipe Picture Syrup recipe: pour sugar in water to boil for 5 minutes and remove it from the heat. Leave it to turn cold.

Filling recipe: mix all filling ingredients together.

Recipe ingredients:

  • 3 apples, middle sized
  • 3 bananas
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 200 grams sugar powder
  • 250 grams grounded walnuts or almonds
  • 150 grams biscuit crumbs
  • 250 grams unsalted butter, room temperature

Grate apples and gently squeeze juice from them (you can drink it – it’s very refreshing juice). Squeeze the juice from half of a lemon and drench apples wit it, so they keep a
bright color. Cut bananas into small pieces and mix into apples.

Mix sugar, walnuts and biscuit crumbs together and add fruits in it. Stir it well and mix butter in it on the end.

Russian Cap Gourmet Cookies

Cookie dough ingredients:

  • 280 grams all-purpose flour
  • 200 grams sugar
  • 100 grams melted unsalted butter
  • 100 grams melted chocolate
  • 1 egg

Cookie filling:

  • 250 grams grounded walnuts
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 100 grams unsalted butter, room temperature

Topping ingredients:

  • 100 grams melted chocolate
  • 100 grams grounded walnut

Russian Cap Gourmet Cookies Mix flour, sugar, chocolate, butter and egg and knead a cookie dough. Make a circle shape cookies with a mold. Bake it for 20 minutes in the preheated oven to 350 degrees.

Pour boiling milk on the grounded walnuts and mix butter in it to make cookie filling. Use it to glue two cookies together.

Sesame Sticks Baking Recipe

Baking ingredients:

  • 500 grams whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1,5-2 teaspoon salt
  • 150 ml vegetable oil
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 100 grams grounded poppy seeds
  • 100 grams sesame seeds
  • warm water

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Make a hole in the middle of flour and pour oil in it. Start to knead a dough, gradually adding wine in it. When you got soft dough that don’t stick to your fingers, stretch it to be about 0,5 centimeter thick. Sesame Sticks Baking Recipe

Wet a dough with a few tablespoons of warm water and spread poppy seeds all over it. Softly roll over poppy with rolling pin, so it sticks to the dough.

Cut it (1 x 10 centimeter), twist it gently like spiral and put it on wax paper in baking pan. Bake it for 20 minutes in the preheated oven to 350 degrees.

Floating Island Gourmet Dessert Recipe

Recipe ingredients:

  • 1 liter milk
  • 5 egg whites, room temperature
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 egg yolks, room temperature
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Beat egg whites with 5 tablespoon of sugar (you can add to it few drops of lemon juice, so you can beat it better).

Pour beaten egg whites in boiling milk (be sure to boil milk in deep pot, so your milk could not boil over), reduce the heat and boil it for a few minutes, till egg whites clot. Turn them around with a spoon and cook it for a minute more. Remove it from heat and take your floating island out of milk in another pot.

Beat egg yolks with vanilla and 5 tablespoon of sugar and pour it in milk, that you had just used for cooking egg whites. Stir it all the way while you cook it (5 minutes).

Pour milk with egg yolks over clotted egg whites and refrigerate it at least one hour.

Gourmet Cookies with Coconut

Recipe ingredients:

  • 4 egg whites, room temperature
  • 200 grams sugar powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 200 grams shredded coconut

Mix egg whites with sugar powder, vanilla and cinnamon for about 5 minutes. In beaten egg whites pour shredded coconut and stir it gently with spoon ( not with mixer, cause it might lose foamy look).

First preheat oven to 350 degrees. With the help of two teaspoons, form coconut cookies on wax paper in bake pan. Bake it for 20-25 minutes.

Cake Icing with Coffee and Chocolate

Recipe ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup strong black coffee
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup shredded chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate liqueur

In low temperature get warm coffee. Pour sugar and chocolate in it and when it begins to boil, pour liqueur also. Mix it all up and remove it from the heat.

You can use cake icing with coffee and chocolate to ice a cake, or you can serve it in glasses as gourmet dessert.

Recipe for Gourmet Rum Cakes

Ingredients:

  • 50 grams sugar
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 125 grams unsalted butter
  • 100 grams chocolate
  • 100 grams chopped corn flakes
  • 100 grams raisins
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 100 grams sesame seeds
  • 100 grams chopped unsalted peanuts

Soak up raisins in rum at least 30 minute.

Melt sugar and honey in the deep pot and boil it for about 5 minutes. Pour butter in it to melt also and then add chocolate, stir it all the way. When all previous ingredients are melted, pour corn flakes, raisins, sesame and peanuts in it. Stir it and remove it from heat.

Pour cake in the greased cake pan and spread it equally. Put it in refrigerator for a few hours and then cut it as you wish. Your gourmet rum cake is ready to be served. Enjoy!
